Wouldn’t it be amazing to have more people know how you desire to change the world?
What if by being more visible and sharing your unique point of view would allow your perfect clients to call—and they’re ready to work with you?
Unfortunately, if you’re a coach, consultant, or solopreneur the bottom line is you can’t change the world if you don’t have clients to work with.
We get it. We’ve worked with hundreds of visionaries just like you and we assure you…there is a way out.
The fact that you’re taking the time to read this means you’re more committed to getting your work out there in the world than letting the fear and overwhelm associated with marketing stop you. Congratulations!
Here’s the 7-step process we have found to be successful for our clients to ‘Upscale’ their online presence…
(1.) Utilize Existing Content.
Most people post their blog content one time on social media; then it simply ‘dies on the vine.’ Create a strategy to keep the content you already have on your blog alive, fresh and shared regularly on your social media platforms (see step 2). When your words of wisdom resonate with your ideal clients they’re more likely to take the next action towards building a deeper relationship with you.
(2.) Publicize Your Posts.
Take your blog content and break it up into consumable pieces which we affectionately refer to as ‘blurbs’. I recommend for each blog post to create at least 5 Tweets and 5 longer posts to be shared on Facebook and LinkedIn. Make sure each blurb has a link back to the article on your website. The idea is to stop your prospect in their tracks, inspire their curiosity, and get them to ‘click’ to find out more. You want more people clicking on your status updates and going to your website, right? This strategy will ensure more website visitors!
(3.) Systematize Your Marketing Process.
What do I mean by this? I suggest creating a spreadsheet of all your blog content—or what we like to call an ‘asset inventory.’ The first column should have the title of the article, the next column the live URL link where someone would click to get to your site, then a column with a shortened URL (bit.ly) link. Then, every column to the right should suggest an action step, such as ‘Post on Facebook,’ ‘Share on Twitter,’ ‘Post as a Status Update on LinkedIn,’ ‘Create blurbs,’ ‘Share with relevant LinkedIn groups,’ ‘Schedule blurbs on all platforms in rotation,’ etc. Every article you write must have its own marketing ‘system.’ You don’t want to miss a single step in your ‘Visibility Plan.’
(4.) Create Client Attraction Systems.
In this step, you’ll look to be more visible to your ideal clients. This means getting in front of NEW people every day on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. And while not everyone goes from connecting with you to hiring you in a few clicks, allowing them to get to know you better by sharing your content/wisdom is likely to result in consistent email subscribers, new website visitors—and if your website offers a clear ‘call to action,’— a consistent pipeline of prospects.
(5.) Automate Relationship Building.
There are some amazing online programs that we use to help our clients connect and build relationships with people who are interested in the work they do and the transformation they provide. The best thing is that once it’s set up it starts to feel as if the system is on auto-pilot —adding connections and managing the relationship-building process!
(6.) Leverage Your Expertise Across Multiple Platforms.
You want to make sure that all the content you are creating speaks to your expertise and the difference you can really make in people’s lives. Share your confidence in the impact your work is creating in the world. Give yourself permission to share and brag about your knowledge, your wisdom, your insight, and your unique point of view.
(7.) Entertain, Educate, and Engage Your Audience.
Make sure that your content speaks to individuals no matter what stage in the buying process they are. Invite people to comment… “Did you love this article?” or “What did you think about this particular topic?” or “What is your favorite way of marketing?”
If you’re reading this after consuming some of our content, you are actually engaging in some of the strategies I’ve detailed in this post. With a consistent social media presence, you’ll increase your influence—and your income.
Now, let me ask you…
How great would it feel to know that while you are working with your current clients, the thought-leadership content you’re previously written is being shared in such a way that people are interested in finding out more about how you can help them? Wouldn’t it be amazing to have more people on your email list, voicemails, and a full schedule created for you while you are busy doing what you love to do?
You’re committed to being a recognized authority to your ideal clients.
