For my business, LinkedIn has proven to be the best platform to connect with the high-level clients I love working with. In fact, second to direct referrals, LinkedIn is my most effective resource for attracting new clients.

But then one day, it happened—my worst nightmare.

LinkedIn threatened to shut down my account.

The reason?

I had made too many requests to connect with people who don’t know me, have never worked with me, or don’t have any common connections with me. Eek!

Consider this a cautionary tale.

Knowing my high-level ideal client is not hanging out on Facebook, doesn’t have time to be reading my Tweets, and doesn’t particularly care about my Pinterest Boards, I needed to come up with a creative yet effective solution.

I know how to help these clients and the evidence shows that I’ve had a wealth of clients who found me through my previous LinkedIn strategy.

So I know without question that if I can introduce myself to new prospects with the right strategy and the right message, there’s a good chance they will decide to work with me as well.

I simply had to find a ‘work around’ to be able to continue using LinkedIn to grow my business.

During one of our VIP Retreats, my business coach, Mande White-Pearl (www.mandewhite-pearl.com) shared a resource called Dux-Soup (https://dux-soup.com/) and I was intrigued.

Mande shared how the Dux-Soup software would not only provide a better opportunity to connect with my ideal clients, but would automate the process (not entirely, but quite significantly). Best of all, for my prospects / ideal clients, it’s a more subtle, ‘gentle’ approach.

In fact, the entire process presents THEM with the opportunity to request to connect with ME!

I appreciated Mande sharing this resource with me, but further to her suggestion I was able to develop a strategy to take my approach to a whole other level.

Best of all, it’s truly as if it’s my prospects’ idea to know more about me and the services I offer.
